ITINERARY
DAY 1 To Dumfries – Travel north with suitable en-route stops to your overnight stop at 4* Holiday Inn Hotel in Dumfries. DBB DAY 2 A Day of Scottish Delights – First
stop is the iconic Falkirk Wheel, the world’s only rotating boatlift. Then it’s on through
the Trossachs (with a hairy coo stop!) before driving across the wilderness of Rannoch Moor and the deep valley & towering mountains of Glencoe to Fort William. Overnight at 3* Alexandra Hotel. DBB
DAY 3 Fort William to Skye – Explore Fort William with its enviable setting on Loch Linnhe’s shores. Alternatively join the optional excursion to Nevis Range Mountain Gondola. Take the ‘Road to the Isles’ by way of Glenfinnan for the panoramic crossing to Armadale on Skye. Check into 3* Dunollie Hotel in Broadford for 3 nights. DBB
DAY 4 Skye Discovery Day – A full day to explore the magical Misty Isle with a local guide. From Portree to the Lealt Falls to the Skye Museum of Island Life and a view of
the Old Man of Storr
DAY 5 Broadford & Eilean Donan Castle –
A relaxed morning to enjoy the seaside village of Broadford which stretches around the bay. Later head over the Skye Road Bridge to the iconic 13th century Eilean Donan Castle where three great sea lochs meet – entrance included (some uneven steps and corridors)
DAY 6 To Loch Ness & Beyond – Travel via lochs and glens to the scenic hamlet of Fort Augustus at the southernmost tip of Loch Ness with optional boat cruise. Continue via Loch Laggan and Monarch of the Glen Country to central Stirling for your last overnight at 3* Golden Lion Hotel. DBB
DAY 7 After early departure, it’s time to head south to arrive home during the evening
