DAY 1 Heading North – Travel north with suitable en-route stops to your overnight hotel at 4* Holiday Inn Newcastle Gosforth Park. DBB DAY 2 Edinburgh & Pitlochry – To delightful Edinburgh with stunning architecture, winding streets and awe-inspiring castle. Continue by way of the Three Bridges Viewpoint to Pitlochry for overnight at centrally located 3* Fishers Hotel DBB
DAY 3 Culloden & North to Caithness – Through the glorious Cairngorms to Culloden Moor and the story of the last pitched battle to be fought on British soil - the Jacobite Uprising of 1745. Onto Thurso for your 2-night stay at 3* Pentland Hotel. DBB
DAY 4 John O’Groats & The Castle of Mey The famous end point of the 874-mile trek from Land’s End in Cornwall and the beloved residence of the Queen Mother, with her personal touch apparent everywhere. DBB DAY 5 North Coast 500 Route – Described as Scotland’s Route 66, the main roads along the northerly coastal edges of Scotland offer breathtaking views around every corner. Explore Ullapool with its distinctive Highland appeal. Check into the centrally located 3* Caledonian Hotel for your overnight stay DBB DAY 6 Inverewe Garden & Gairloch – A scenic drive along the coastal NC500 route via Dundonnell and Laide to Poolewe, home of the Inverewe Garden where the Gulf Stream meets the Highlands. DAY 7 Applecross Peninsula – Head off
the beaten track by minicoach to explore magnificent Wester Ross – soaring mountains, ancient Caledonian forest, wild beaches, fjord-like lochs and dramatic roads & passes. Drive up steepest ascent of any road in the UK (over 2000ft) to reach Bealach na Ba Viewpoint. A day to remember!
DAY 8 Eilean Donan & Glencoe – Back south via the iconic Eilean Donan Castle with guided tour and then into the deep valleys and towering mountains of Glencoe and onto Drymen for last overnight at 3* Winnock Hotel DBB
DAY 9 An early start as your epic Scottish adventure comes to end. It’s time to head home
