ITINERARY
DAY 1 To Dover for ferry to France and onto Arnhem for your 3-night stay. BB
DAY 2 To Driel, the Polish drop zone, the site of the ‘Battle of the Crossroads’ (featured in TV’s ‘Band of Brothers’) and Groesbeek Canadian War Cemetery. Onto Nijmegen on the River Waal where 82nd Airborne fought to secure the bridges plus a visit
to the Airborne at the Bridge Museum in Arnhem. Packed lunch included today
DAY 3 Head to The Airborne Monument at Heelsum and Ginkel Heath where 2,300 paratroopers of the 4th Parachute Brigade landed. Visit the CWGC Cemetery in Oosterbeek, where over 1600 Commonwealth service personnel are buried or commemorated. Entrance is included to the very moving Airborne Museum ‘Hartenstein’ dedicated to the 1944 Battle
of Arnhem. Light lunch is included today
DAY 4 Back through Holland, Belgium and France for the crossing to England and homewards
