Life slows down in South East Cornwall, but there is still plenty to see. Lovely Looe with its picturesque fishing harbour is famous for its day-caught fish, wide sandy beach, famous Looe Bridge joining the east and west towns, as well as the charming, cobbled streets lined with independent boutiques and inviting cafes. Enjoy an included visit to the spectacular Eden Project, the largest indoor rainforest in the world and experience Cornwall at its best, whatever the weather. ITINERARY
DAY 1 Enjoy a scenic drive down to Cornwall and the popular village of Looe for 3, 4 or 6 nights. DBB
DAY 2 – 3 (4 OR 5) At leisure in Looe with two or three included excursions (T&T – one included & one optional excursion)

Eden Project (all tours) Visit the Eden Project – once a barren landscape – a former clay mine with no soil or plants. It has been transformed into a beautiful global garden, where you’ll rediscover the natural world. Explore massive, covered Biomes to trek through the world’s largest indoor rainforest. Discover extensive Outdoor Gardens, contemporary artworks, places to rest, play and eat, and to pick up inspiring ideas to take home Fowey, Polperro & Cornish Coast (5 & 6 day only) The pretty harbour town of Fowey is set in an AONB. Take a stroll along the Esplanade, passing the grand parade of Edwardian and Victorian houses, to the beach at Readymoney Cove overlooked by the medieval St Catherine’s Castle.
NB the parking is at the top of the town with a steep walk down. Onto pretty Polperro, the impossibly picturesque village which squeezes down the valley to a small harbour where tiny fishermen’s cottages and sail lofts hang off the rocks. (Approx. 1/2 mile walk from the parking area with a gentle slope on the way
down). March departure visits Polperro only with free time in Looe
Bodmin Jail & Bodmin Moor Scenic Drive (6 day ony) Built in 1779 Bodmin Jail showcases the dark and fascinating legacy of Georgian and Victorian crime and punishment (fully accessible). Head off to Bodmin Moor, a remote, bleak heather covered landscape dominated by dramatic granite tors. Visit Cornwall’s notorious smugglers’ inn, Jamaica Inn, built in 1750, made famous by Daphne du Maurier’s compelling novel. Entrance to the Smuggling Museum is included
RETURN DAY It’s farewell to Cornwall as you depart after breakfast with suitable en-route stops as you journey back to interchange
