Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, you will travel to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. Continue to your overnight hotel stop. Bed and breakfast.
Day 2 - Relax and watch the rural French scenery unfold on the way to Switzerland for a one night stay. Dinner, bed & breakfast.
Day 3 - After a leisurely breakfast continue through Alpine scenery and into Italy en-route to Riva del Garda, your holiday base for the next five nights. Your holiday price includes porterage and on arrival, pre-dinner cocktail on one evening, Trentino candlelit dinner one night and Gala dinner one night. Dinner, bed & breakfast.
Day 4 - Day 7 - At leisure in Riva del Garda with three included excursions.
The hotel is located right in the heart of Riva del Garda so there will be plenty of opportunity to explore. Why not visit Rocca di Riva, the ancient castle which today houses a local museum or the 13th century clock tower (admissions apply).
Enjoy a stroll along the lakeside promenade or saunter through the beautifully preserved, pedestrianised Citta Vecchia (Old Town).
Venice, City of Canals
An early start today for the drive to Venice, the ancient and famous city of canals to view St. Mark's Square, the Doge's Palace, the Bridge of Sighs and much, much more. From the coach park there you will make your way into Venice by private boat.
To add to a truly memorable day, your tour manager will also offer an optional guided tour of Venice and optional gondola ride. (NB: Due to the historic nature of the city, this excursion is not suitable for wheelchair and mobility vehicle users).
Bardolino and Scenic Lake Drive
A scenic drive today as you head south along the lakeside to Bardolino, one of the prettiest towns on the lake, surrounded by breathtaking scenery. It is best-known for the wine made from the grapes grown in the surrounding hillsides.
There is an excellent market on Thursday mornings which stretches along the lakeside promenade.
Romeo & Juliet's Verona
Journey to the magnificent old city of Verona, famous for Shakespeare's 'Romeo and Juliet'. Bordered on three sides by the River Adige, the streets of Verona's ancient centre follow the layout of the Roman city. Upon arrival you may either explore the city on your own or join the optional guided city tour by coach and then on foot.
Your tour manager will be able to offer a cruise on Lake Garda (subject to availability and seasonal timetable changes) to the pretty resort of Limone sul Garda, known for its distinctive remnants of old lemon houses.

Day 8 - It's farewell to Lake Garda today as you head northwards to your final overnight hotel. Bed and Breakfast.
Day 9: After breakfast, continue to Calais for the return crossing to England.
