Bodnant Gardens
Through Beddgelert to Betws-y-Coed with time for lunch. Bodnant Gardens is one of the UK's most beautiful gardens, spanning 80 acres above the River Conwy. You can enjoy a wide range of interesting and beautiful plants from all over the world that are suited to the Welsh climate and soil. Visitors in late April (perhaps not in full colour) have the added bonus of seeing the famous Laburnum Arch, a 55 metre long tunnel with an overwhelming mass of yellow hanging flowers. Return along the shores of the Conwy Valley and through the 'Crimea Pass' to Blaenau Ffestiniog.

Plas Newydd Garden
Enchanting mansion and gardens, with spectacular views of Snowdonia, set on the shores of the Menai Strait. This elegant house was redesigned by James Wyatt in the 18th century and there is a fine spring garden and Australasian arboretum, an Italianate-style summer terrace and massed hydrangeas. A stop will be made en route back to the hotel for refreshments.

Overlooking Cardigan Bay surrounded by acres of sub-tropical woodlands and sandy beaches, Portmeirion was built by visionary Welsh architect, Sir Clough Williams-Ellis, who wanted to prove that development did not have to mean destruction of the natural environment.

Day 5 - After breakfast with happy memories and possibly a few plants return homeward via interchange.
