Day 1 - From your chosen joining point your feeder vehicle will take you to your designated interchange point where your holiday begins. After joining your holiday coach, it's onward to your Newcastle city centre hotel for 4 nights with dinner, bed and breakfast.
Days 2-4 - At leisure in Newcastle with two included excursions.
Bamburgh, Holy Island & Alnwick
First stop is Bamburgh with time for sightseeing. Bamburgh Castle with its impressive fortress dramatically overlooks the North Sea. Onto the market town of Alnwick where its impressive castle is known as 'the Windsor of the North' and also the location for the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Tides permitting cross the causeway to Holy Island, home to Lindisfarne Priory and a sanctuary for wildlife.
Mid Northumbria Tour
Morpeth - historic county town of Northumberland, combining the old and the new. The 13th century Chantry that houses the town's Bagpipe Museum is worth a look. Short drive to Wallington House & Garden in Cambo, much-loved home to generations of the Trevelyan family and a magnificent estate where politics and play came together. Continue on to Kirkharle, the birthplace of Lancelot Capability Brown, the landscape artist once described as the Shakespeare of Gardening. There is an exhibition about the man and his work as well as an accessible walk. Return to the hotel by way of Corbridge.
Day 5 - Return to interchange and back home.
