      Romantic Rhine & Magnificent Moselle
Romantic Rhine & Magnificent Moselle Evocative Scenery, Majestic Castles and Cosy Villages

The scenic valleys of the Rhine and Moselle with their charming vine-clad slopes, delicious wines, spectacular vistas, majestic castles, charming towns and cosy villages are perennial favourites with Crusader customers. Based in the heart of the most picturesque part of the Rhine Gorge, you will enjoy a tour which combines a day to meander the Moselle as well as included excursions on the panoramic Hunsrück railway and a relaxing Rhine cruise to the Loreley.

Hotel Rheinlust, Boppard
Well located on the Rhine promenade with river views. Comfortable fully equipped rooms located in two buildings- Lift to all floors.

For holidays departing 23rd April, 18th June, 27th August & 10th September:

4* Bellevue Rheinhotel, Boppard
This elegant 4* hotel is ideally located on the main riverside promenade, very close to the town centre. The hotel is beautifully decorated in a 'Belle Epoque' style with gilded mirrors and artwork on the walls. Facilities include the Papillon Bar, the wood-panelled restaurant, a wine cellar as well as a swimming pool, sauna and steam room. All bedrooms feature TV, hairdryer and tea / coffee making facilities. Lift available.

For holidays departing 21st May, 16th July, 24th September:

3* Hotel Lindenhof, Osterpai
This is a family run hotel located on the quieter east bank of the Rhine. Rooms at the hotel are warmly decorated with wooden interiors with en suite facilities and free WiFi. The Lindenhof's elegant restaurant features large windows and a Rhine view.


Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, travel to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. Then continue to the Rhine for an evening arrival at the centrally located Bellevue Hotel in Boppard. Light supper, bed & Breakfast.

Days 2 - 3 (4 Day Holidays) –
At leisure in Boppard with two included excursions. Dinner, bed and breakfast.

Days 2 - 4/6 (5/7 Day Holidays) – At leisure in Boppard with three included excursions. Dinner, bed and breakfast.

Bingen-am-Rhein and Panoramic Rhine Cruise to Sankt Goar (All holidays)
No visit to the region would be complete without a boat trip on the Rhine and we have included a 90-minute panoramic cruise from Boppard to Sankt Goar with views of the famous Loreley Rock. The scenery is simply spectacular and is certainly the very best (and most relaxing) way to enjoy the river. Disembark at Sankt Goar, a quaint little town with a welcoming atmosphere and then continue to Bacharach with its beautiful market square and half-timbered houses with a final stop in Bingen-am-Rhein which overlooks the legendary stone Mouse Tower on the island in the middle of the Rhine.

Moselle Explorer (All holidays)
Over the Hunsück hills today to the ancient Moselle town of Cochem with its many medieval squares, tangle of narrow alleyways, beautifully restored houses and dramatic castle perched on a rock. Continue your Moselle exploration in Bernkastel, teeming with wine taverns and charming building in half-timber, slate and stone.

Hunsrück Mountain Railway & Koblenz (5 & 7 day holidays)
A ride on the Hunsrück Mountain Railway will take you over two viaducts, through five tunnels and up to a height of over 300m. Opened in 1908, this was formerly a rack railway. You can be sure of a wonderful view on the journey from Boppard to Emmelshausen taking you through Boppard's forests on one of the most delightful mountain railway routes in Germany. Re-board the coach and head to Koblenz, famed for its mighty Ehrenbreitstein fortress overlooking the Deutsches Eck where the Rhine meets the Moselle. Koblenz is one of Germany's oldest and most beautiful towns with over 2000 years of history.

Heidelberg (7 day holidays only)
Germany's oldest and most famous university town with its fabulous Altstadt, lively student atmosphere and beautiful riverside setting attracts visitors from all over the world. Follow in the footsteps of famed writers and artists such as Mark Twain, Goethe and Britain's William Turner. Heidelberg, left virtually unscathed by WWII, is one of Germany's most enchanting cities, full of heart-stopping panoramas and hidden treasures.

Final Day - Early start today to travel back through France to Calais for the return to England.
