Whisky and Glass in Crieff
Take it easy today and get to know the locality with a trip to the Crieff Visitor Centre, a popular attraction on the outskirts of town. The centre is home of the world-renowned Caithness Glass and you can enjoy the skilled craftsmen at work form the viewing gallery before meandering around the gift shop and garden centre. Later, visit Scotland's oldest working distillery and spiritual home of The Famous Grouse. Here you will discover the art of blending this popular whisky and have the chance to sample a wee dram or two.
St Andrews & the Old Course
A trip this morning to St Andrews, Scotland's oldest university town and a fine, historic town with a striking seaside location. Well known as the place that Prince William met Kate Middleton whilst studying at the university, St Andrew's is still best known as the home to the world's most famous golf course. You will visit the Old Course with an expert guide on a tour around the 1st, 17th and 18th holes where you will walk in the footsteps of the game's most iconic names and experience a player's eye view of the fabled links.
CENTRAL HIGHLANDS DAY OUT
You can expect some breath-taking scenery on today's drive through the magnificent Central Highlands. From lovely Loch Earn and Glen Ogle to Killin is a small village at the Falls of Dochart, a spectacular series of rapids, at the western end of Loch Tay. Along the shores of the loch to Aberfeldy, a peaceful, pretty town, where there will be time to wander before this afternoon's visit to Pitlochry where you may like to do a spot of shopping for local specialities or perhaps take a walk to see the Hydro Electric Dam and its famous Salmon Ladder
Day 5 - Early start today. The hotel will prepare a takeaway breakfast so that you can get on the road and head homeward.
