Day 1 - After joining your holiday coach, travel to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. Then continue via the auto-routes of France to your hotel in Kehl-Kork with a welcome drink on arrival. Bed & breakfast. (Dinner opportunity en-route due to late arrival time.)
Day 2 to Day 4 - At leisure in Kehl-Kork with two included excursions. Dinner, bed & breakfast.
Alsace Wine Trail
Travel along the 'Route des Vins' through vine covered slopes and many of the picturesque villages found in this region. Visit Kayserberg with its imposing hilltop castle and ancient fortifications before continuing to the medieval walled village of Riquewihr.
Old-world luxury and curative waters, Baden-Baden has been a rendezvous for the rich for many years - Queen Victoria and Victoria Beckham included. Grand colonnaded buildings, whimsical villas, open-air cafes, chic boutiques, pristine gardens and temple-like thermal baths - this timeless grand dame of German spa towns has got it all. Your driver may be able to offer you an optional excursion from here to Rastatt Palace, the epitome of a sumptuous Baroque residence located a short distance from Baden-Baden.
A visit to Strasbourg with a guided city tour will show you the idiosyncrasies of this quirky Alsatian city full of surprises - historic architecture, hidden canals and waterways, twisting alleys lined with crooked half-timbered houses, cosy winstubs (taverns) and superb shopping. A chance to see the world-famous cathedral, the Palais Rohan, the picturesque banks of the Ill River, and the Orangerie with the reserve of storks.
Day 5 - Early start today to travel back through Germany, Belgium and France to Calais for the return to England.
