DAY 2 - Dublin
Enjoy a delicious breakfast aboard to set you up for a day in the capital of the Emerald Isle. You can expect friendly locals, fascinating history, legendary literary tradition and charming mix of medieval, Georgian and modern architecture - a city of unforgettable character. Independently explore the sights of Dublin Castle, Trinity College and lovely St Stephen's Green, not forgetting Dublin's most famous landmark, the high-arched Ha'penny Bridge. Alternatively you may like to join an optional shore excursion. Cruise the Irish coast this evening over dinner as you sail overnight to Cobh. Full board.
DAY 3 - Cobh
Another full day of Celtic action as you explore the charming little town of Cobh, one of the best natural harbours in the world. Known as Queenstown until 1922, it was the departure point for thousands of Irish emigrants to America and the last port of call of the Titanic. The 'Queenstown Story' is a wonderful exhibition telling of this rich maritime history (entrance not included). From Cobh's waterfront, streets lined with brightly coloured houses climb the steep slope of a hill, which is crowned with the imposing St Coleman's Cathedral. Explore on your own or join an optional shore excursion. Farewell dinner this evening and a final overnight at sea.
DAY 4 - You dock early at Bristol Avonmouth today but you can still enjoy a leisurely breakfast before disembarkation where your coach will be waiting to take you into Bristol for the morning. Complete your maritime experience with a visit to the historic SS Great Britain, a former passenger steamship designed by Isambard Kingdom Brunel. Entrance and a guided tour as well as tea and cakes are included. Some free time in Bristol before you head homewards.
NB. A Passport is required to board the ship plus you are required to have valid travel insurance cover for the cruise.
