DAY 1 - After joining your holiday coach, travel north to Newcastle, making suitable stops for lunch and refreshments en route and passing by Anthony Gormley's iconic Angel of the North statue. Check in to your centrally located hotel for dinner and overnight. Dinner, bed & breakfast.
DAY 2 - After a leisurely breakfast, explore Newcastle's Victorian city centre and quaysides along the Tyne, maybe crossing the river into Gateshead.
