DAY 1 - After joining your holiday coach, a busy day today as you travel to Long Melford with its mile long high street populated by charming independent shops, vibrant art galleries, antique centres, cafes, restaurants, and, of course, typical Suffolk Inns. There will also be a visit to the village of Lavenham, one of the best preserved medieval villages in the UK. Continue to the hotel in Swaffham for your 3-night stay. Dinner, bed & breakfast
Day 2 - 3 - At leisure with two included excursions:
Sandringham House & Norfolk Coast
Head north to Cromer, a classic seaside town situated on a cliff overlooking sandy beaches. Time here for a brief stop before continuing along the coast to Wells next the Sea, one of the most attractive towns on the north Norfolk coast. Here you will find a long sweeping beach bordered by pine woodland and a gentle harbour with small fishing boats and crab catchers. This afternoon continue to Sandringham House for the chance to explore the beloved country retreat of Her Majesty the Queen.
Rail & Sail on the Norfolk Broads
Another day of wonderful experiences as you take the narrow gauge, steam train ride from Aylsham to Wroxham. This is the longest Narrow gauge track in Norfolk and you will enjoy some beautiful scenery as the train winds along the River Bure. You will then have a scenic boat tour from Wroxham for a 90 minute return trip on the world famous Norfolk Broads. Travel back to Swaffham via the surrounding countryside.
DAY 4 - After breakfast, it's off to the Suffolk Coast and Southwold, with its sandy beach and pier. Once a bustling fishing town, nowadays it is more famous for its colourful beach huts and brewery. Then continue to Aldeburgh for a visit to this little seaside resort with its shingle beach. This afternoon, return homewards, arriving back at your local joining points early to mid-evening.
