DAY 1 - A morning departure, stopping for sightseeing and refreshments in Colchester. Colchester is Britain's oldest recorded town, with a colourful history dating back over two thousand years. This afternoon travel the short distance to the market town of Sudbury, your holiday base in Suffolk. Dinner, bed & breakfast.

Bury St Edmunds & Lavenham
Tour other parts of Constable Country calling firstly at Long Melford with its mile long high street populated by charming independent shops, vibrant art galleries, antique centres, cafes, restaurants, and, of course, typical Suffolk Inns. Then continue to the market town of Bury St. Edmunds where time will be allowed for lunch and exploration before visiting the village of Lavenham, one of the best preserved medieval villages in the UK, boasting some 320 listed timber framed buildings.
Constable Country - Guided Tour
The Constable Country tour takes you firstly to East Bergholt, set in the beautiful Stour Valley, the birthplace of the artist John Constable. The church bells are housed in a unique cage in the churchyard. We then head to Flatford Mill and Willy Lott's Cottage, the scene of some of the artist's most famous paintings. The final visit is to Dedham in the pretty Dedham Vale, an idyllic old English country village and the epitome of rural England as captured by artist, John Constable.

Suffolk Coastal Tour - Aldeburgh & Southwold
The first visit is to Snape Maltings for a look round the crafts shops housed in the old ale brewing buildings. Then head to Aldeburgh for a visit to this neat little seaside resort with its shingle beach and then on to Southwold, set on a low cliff, with a sandy beach and pier. Once a bustling fishing town, it is more famous nowadays for its colourful beach huts and brewery.
LAST DAY - After a leisurely breakfast, there will be a stop at Wilkin & Sons Jams of Tiptree, known for their delicious natural preserves, jams, marmalades and curds, handmade from the finest ingredients. There will be time explore the shop and tea room before continuing to Maldon on the Blackwater estuary for shopping and sightseeing. Afterwards head homeward, arriving during the evening.
