Day 1: From your chosen joining point our feeder vehicle will take you to our designated interchange point where your holiday begins. After joining your holiday coach, we make our way to the Midlands stopping for lunch and sightseeing in the delightful Lincolnshire town of Stamford. We continue on to arrive at our hotel late afternoon. Breakfast & dinner included.
DAYS 2 - 4: At leisure in Chesterfield with two excursions.
One of the highlights of this tour is your visit to the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire, Chatsworth House (admission included). Set on the banks of The River Derwent, Chatsworth was originally built in 1555 and set in 1000 acres of parkland. Explore the historic house, discover fascinating stories and enjoy one of Europe's most significant art collections. Explore the 105 acres of garden with giant water features, sculpture, beautiful flowers and magnificent views of the park.
Derbyshire Dale & Peaks
This excursion starts at the pretty town of Bakewell, where you may try their speciality tart. Buxton is also on the itinerary today - a wide range of independent and unique shops in Buxton complementing the treasured national retailing brands. Immerse yourself in the classical architecture, charming arcades and pedestrianised streets and suddenly shopping becomes a more relaxing event. The last stop is the spa resort of Matlock Bath, set in the Derwent Gorge, with its renowned cable cars operating high above the deep, limestone gorge.
Day 5: After breakfast the homeward journey commences, heading southwards breaking your journey in an interesting town for refreshments. Arrival back at your local joining points early to mid evening.
