      Liege Christmas Markets
 

Liege Christmas Market is one of Belgium’s best known and biggest Markets, with its wooden chalets offering gastronomic specialities, hand-made handicrafts and souvenirs. With more than 180 stalls set around the city's Place du Marché and Place Saint-Lambert, Liege is a great place to sample local Belgian produce amidst a special festive atmosphere. We have an included excursion to Monschau, one of Europe's best kept secrets.

Ramada Plaza City Centre, Liege

The 4* Ramada Plaza Liege is a beautifully converted 17th Century convent located in the historic city centre on the banks of the river La Meuse. Our centrally located hotel is less than 15 minutes walk from the central station and the main shopping area. The hotel’s facilities include bar and restaurant. All bedrooms are en suite and have TV & hairdryer. The hotel has a lift and porterage is included here.

FRIDAY: After joining your holiday coach, we make our way to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. We then drive the short distance to Belgium and onto our hotel in Liege for our 3 night stay.

SATURDAY & SUNDAY: At leisure in Liege with ONE INCLUDED excursion.

During December Father Christmas sets up his Christmas Village at the heart of Liege in the shade of the Prince Bishop’s Palace. Illuminations, decorations, smells and music create the Christmas atmosphere around the numerous wooden chalets.

INCLUDED EXCURSION

Monschau Christmas Market:
On our excursion today, we cross the border into neighbouring Germany for a visit to the picturesque town of Monschau. Nestling in a valley amongst the Eifel Hills, Monschau really is one of Europe's best kept secrets. Monschau offers visitors a wealth of things to see and do, quaint shops, romantic old streets, half timbered buildings, a wonderful selection of restaurants & cafes. Its Christmas Market is one of the most atmospheric of market settings, with wooden stalls embellished with fairy lights erected all around the romantic market square.

MONDAY: Late morning, we travel back through Belgium and France to Calais for our return to England.
