DAY 1: After joining your holiday coach, we make our way to Dover for the short sea crossing to Calais. We then drive through France and Belgium and onto our hotel in Valkenburg, Holland for our 3 night stay. (No evening meal on first night due to arrival time)
DAYS 2 & 3 – At leisure in Valkenburg with one INCLUDED excursion.
Visit the town centre where you have ample time to explore the shops and the Christmas Market. Valkenburg’s Christmas Market is spectacularly held in the Fluweelengrot (Velvet Cave). Twinkling lights and magic illuminations reflect off the walls and soft Christmas music gently disturbs the serene silence more typical of these surroundings. You will be led past caverns, decorated niches, stalls with various Christmas items for sale and stalls demonstrating old Dutch trades and handicrafts.
INCLUDED EXCURSION
Monschau Christmas Market:
Nestling in a valley amongst the Eifel Hills near Aachen, Monschau really is one of Europe's best kept secrets. The Monschau Christmas Market is small but beautiful and the town of Monschau has received awards for being one of the most beautiful Christmas Markets in Western Germany.
NB: Our 25th Nov departure will visit Cologne Xmas Markets in place of this.
LAST DAY: After breakfast, we travel back through Holland, Belgium and France to Calais for our return to England arriving back early to mid evening.
